What a week of Halloween fun. First the pumpkin carving party at preschool.. then another party at preschool, then Halloween DAY!! We had a fun time Trick or Treating with friends at RTC. I think Regen is already looking forward to next year.

Ponies and Parties

We have had a busy busy week. Regen had pony classes at Farrel McWhirter. She seemed to really enjoy it. Colin and I are debating whether or not we want to encourage the love of horses and ponies...hmmmmm.... Unfortunately we don't have the excuse that our yard is too small.
We had a pumpkin carving party at Regen's preschool. Regen wanted a scary face on her pumpkin and Colin did his best to copy the EXACT face that Regen wanted.
Our nephew Anthony turned 8 years old too. We had a fun dinner at Red Robin and then went bowling where Regen got to play her first game. It is REALLY sad that she kicked her mom's butt!!!

The other day Stacey and Kelsey came over for a picture and play date. I carved out a pumpkin and we set the scene for some great photo ops. Kelsey was much more cooperative on the smiling. Claire just wanted to look and eat everything around her! :) We did get a few good ones.

A Fall Frolick

Today we went to Kelsey Creek Farm for their Fall Festival. It was a beautiful fall day.. and almost 65 degrees...can't beat that. Regen had fun collecting leaves, riding a horse, getting her face painted, picking and painting the perfect pumpkin, and of course eating some kettle corn. Claire had a lot of fun watching all the action. They both took great naps when we got home.

A Day of Beauty

Yesterday we took a trip to the salon where Regen got her FIRST haircut. Yes, I know, this was long overdue, but if your little girl had blond beautiful curls.. you would wait too. She has had her bangs cut professionally, but mostly by me. Regen did awesome. She just sat there and watched and was a pro at getting her hair washed in the sink. Colin also got his hair cut, but I failed to document it. Claire NEEDS her haircut, but I can't bring myself to do it quite yet.. she is just a baby.

Fall is here

Well.. Claire is officially 6 months old now. We had a little 1/2 birthday celebration for her, and I made her a half of a cake. (I saw it in a magazine, so I can't take any credit for the cute idea). I basically thought it was a great reason to make a cake... and since Claire can't eat cake yet.. I have been enjoying it. Did I say I am having trouble losing the baby weight? I just can't figure out why!! September has been a busy month. Regen and I were relentless frog hunters. We searched and searched for the elusive frog that teased us with his call every evening. However one evening little froggy got confused and hopped right into our kitchen, so we had a little pet for a few days. I was very brave and even caught a spider for the little fella, but it wasn't enough and we had to let him go free. We still hear him every once in a while. I think he misses us. Here are some pics of our last couple weeks....and the frog!
