Regen learned to ride her bike - two wheel style
Regen up until now was pretty hesitant to take her training wheels off. Last summer when Trent learned, Colin took Regen's off and tried and it was really evident that she was NOT ready. While my mom was here from Arizona helping with my recovery, they were all playing outside during a somewhat nice February day. Regen just decided that she wanted them off. Colin took them off, gave her a push and that was it. She never wavered.. just went. That has pretty much been the trend with Regen. When she is ready, she is ready.
Regen's President Wax-Museum speech.
Regen had been SO nervous for the big 1st grade President's day Wax Museum at school. All the 1st graders had to pick a president out of a hat and then write a speech about that president. Then they had to practice and practice until it was memorized. On the big day, all the first graders lined up in the library. They all sat in chairs with a button (sticker) on their hands. When their button was pushed, they had to stand up and recite their speech to the person that pushed their button. Regen got lucky and picked George Washington. They day of the speech was the day that I had my stent taken out, so I was pretty nervous that we were going to miss it, but we made it just in time. I am thankful that we took video of it, because it wasn't until the next day when I figured out that I didn't remember much of the day after all the drugs. She did an awesome job and we were so proud!! Oh yeah, they had to dress up as their president. Regen was super (not) excited about that.
Chelan 2011
The week that I was in the hospital was the week that we were supposed to take our annual winter trip to Chelan. Obviously, that didn't happen. So, after I was feeling better, we packed up and headed over. Unfortunately we missed most of the snow, but there was just enough at the top of the hill to get the girls on skiis for a bit and go tubing.
