Watch out everyone.. the boy is moving! So far, he isn't too quick, but give it a week, and he'll be off and running and I will be chasing him all around making sure there are no princess polly pocket shoes or paper scraps in his path. Maybe I'll finally lose the last 7lbs. We have a ton of video's of him almost crawling, but he usually just collapses in a pile of fussiness because he can't get where he wants.. so this is one I took today and he got where he wanted to go. It is interesting that so far he is following along the same time-line for the girls on almost everything. Regen crawled at 7.5 months, Claire on the day she turned 8 months, and Chase about 7 3/4 months.

Happy Easter
We were planning on having Easter Breakfast with at the Kronemeyers, but when kids get sick, plans change, so we held an Easter Brunch here. It was the day after the big party, so when the girls got movies in their Easter Baskets, we popped one in and Colin and I cleaned up after the party and set up for an Easter Brunch and Egg Hunt. Thankfully Shannon sent down food, because after vacation, the only thing we had was fruit from Claire's party. It turned out well, and the weather even held for a quick egg hunt in the back yard.

Claire's Multiple Birthday Celebrations
Claire has had quite the 3rd Birthday. She turned 3 while we were in Arizona, so we had a little pool party for her there with Abi (who was also in Arizona visiting her grandparents) and some little friends that we met down there last year. Then, when we got home, she had her party here with all her little friends from home. Someone was a little spoiled this year.

Claire's Birthday celebration at home was her big party. Nona and Bubba and Pete and Konni came over earlier in the day to watch Claire open her BIG gift - A BOUNCY HOUSE!!! It was a gift from Omi/Grandpa, Nona/Bubba, Shannon/Cameron/Trent/Parker, and Grandma/Papa. Both girls were THRILLED about getting it. I have to give Regen props.. she kept the secret from Claire for quite some time, since she got to bounce in it a few weeks ago when we 'tested' it out. I have to say, it has been nice having it out in the garage this week. They have both been exhausted and Claire has napped every day, and goes to bed much quicker after bouncing all day. It will be a nice thing to have on hand when we need to burn some energy, have parties, or just need a change! Thanks everyone!

Look at me!!
Chase had a lot of "firsts" this vacation. First time on a plane, first time in a pool, first road trip, first time at Disneyland, first time to see the ocean. Unfortunately, he didn't sleep through the night for the first time.. ;)
I thought he was going to start to crawl. All of a sudden he got up on his hands and knees and started to rock back and forth. I was hoping that he wouldn't so I could still set him down and not be too concerned that he would just crawl right into the pool. Luckily for me he didn't but he is getting closer and closer every day.
Chase's little buddy Chace gave him this little outfit when he was born, and it fit perfectly for our trip.. so cute! Thanks Chace!

Fun times in Arizona
Our time at my parents house in Arizona seemed short since we had a 4 day trip to California squished in there, but we managed to get a lot of pool time in, throw a birthday party and go on a hike... no wonder me and Colin need a vacation from our vacation!
Getting ready for some pool time exactly 20 minutes after we walked in the door. We were up at 4am to catch a 7:30am flight and the literally jumped in the pool as soon as they got their swimsuits and sunscreen on.

Anthony was supposed to fly down by himself to spend some time with Grandma and Papa during spring break, but Ryan decided that he wanted to see the sun too, so he drove him down and stayed a night (yes, only a night). Here is Anthony going head-first down the slide into the pool. Quite an accomplishment from years past where he wouldn't put his head under water.
Regen is our little swimmer. Every year she gets better and better. The first year we were down there, she could swim the short length of the pool, the second year, she could swim the long length, but come up for a few breaths and we were all on the edge of our seat ready to jump in and save her if she couldn't make it. This year she could swim the entire length UNDER water without taking a breath. She is even starting to actually take strokes. Claire took about 2.5 minutes to get warmed up to the water and she is pretty good too, but she 'THINKS' she is much better and can just take off swimming like her sister... so this year it was her we were on the edge of our seats with. I am sure next year it will be Chase. :)
We took a short hike to the White Tank Mountains on Claire's birthday. It was a mile up and a mile down and mostly paved. There was a waterfall at the top, but when we got there, it was more like a trickle. Some of the cacti were in bloom, so it was a pretty hike. We also were 'lucky' enough to see a few lizards, a chuckwalla lizard, and even a RATTLESNAKE. We didn't get a picture of the snake however, it was quick to slither under a bush to get away from all the gawkers.

She isn't afraid of snakes or lizards, but Splash mountain..that she is afraid of.
The birthday girl.. she looks happy now, but she had one of the BIGGEST meltdown/tantrum on the way back down to the car. A little too much excitement on our fun-filled family vacation.
Anthony had fun climbing the rocks.. and well, being a 10year old boy.

Newport Beach
After 3 fun days at Disneyland, we headed for Newport Beach. Colin's cousin Kelly owns a house right on the beach that has been in the Worsley family for quite some time. We have been down there a few times for family reunion's and to stay at the beach house for a vacation. They had the old house torn down this January and are building a brand new one it its place. Cousin Kelly just happened to have a trip planned (she lives in Indianapolis) at the same time as us, so we were lucky enough to get a tour of the new house construction, and have lunch with her at Ruby's on Balboa Pier. The girls had a blast playing in the sand, running from the waves, and collecting 'treasures' off the California Beaches. We can't wait to make a trip down to Newport to stay in the brand new house.. Kelly better watch out for us Worsley Family.
