Sunny Days

We have been definitely taking advantage of the sunny winter days and getting out of the house. The girls have been riding their bikes and playing outside almost every day this week. We headed to the zoo and the school playground this weekend to burn off some energy as well. Here are more 'practice shots' with the new camera.

Look at all my teeth.. this is why I am not sleeping.. 5 teeth in 4 weeks, with two more coming fast. (I am really hoping that they come in before we leave for AZ. I would love to get a little more sleep on vacation.)

For Valentines Day, Colin gave me a new camera. I have wanted a new nice camera for a while, and I am so excited to finally have one. I have spent all weekend playing with it and taking tons of pictures. I am actually reading the manual and watching the dvd's it comes with so I can take great pictures of our adventures.

Here are just a few I took this weekend.. I hope to start playing with the manual controls, these are just taken on the basic auto. I have a lot of learning to do, but I am pretty excited to do it.

Pacific Science Center

I am not sure why we have never taken the kids to the Pacific Science Center yet. Since we decided not to go to Chelan this weekend because of the weather, we thought it would still be nice for Colin to take one day off and we all do something fun. The girls LOVED it there. The butterfly house was the biggest hit and we had to go twice to see them.

We weren't allowed to leave until a butterfly landed on Regen, for some reason, they kept landing on Me, Colin and Chase.. and finally Regen.

I just had a conversation yesterday with Elaine about how we can get our kids to eat better. Regen and Claire will both choose to forgo dinner and dessert just so they don't have to try something new or take a few bites of their vegetable. Last night, out of the blue, they both ate ALL of their chicken, rice AND ALL of their broccoli. Needless to say, it was a momentous occasion worthy of a photograph and a blog post. I told them all their family and friends would see that they ate ALL of their dinner and with out one complaint or stinky face. Let's see if they can keep it up.. I can only hope!

5month comparison

I get so many different opinions on who Chase looks like. Some people say he looks just like Regen, some people say he looks just like Claire. Here is a snapshot of each kid at 5 months. What do you think?

Is it really winter?

Don't get me wrong, I am NOT complaining. We have been able to get outside and play/ride bikes and even catch frogs more times than I can count this January. It feels like spring is already here. We have been keeping busy as usual with lots of fun getting out, playing with friends, ballet, and school. I got Claire signed up for PRE-SCHOOL, and it is almost time to sign up Chase for Toddler group next year. Where has the time gone?

The aquarium was unusually empty the day we went, so we got to watch the divers for a long time. Here she took a picture of the girls, and was showing it to them. They thought that was great.

Claire in Gymnastics - she is getting much better, and is really learning to follow directions. They practiced their whole routine last week in Ballet and she did the whole thing. I may be convinced to sign her up for the recital this year. It is just too darn cute. Regen will be starting ballet/tap next week.
